About this Remove Extra Spaces
Text copied from PDFs, emails and web pages often arrives with doubled spaces, stray tabs and ragged line edges. This cleaner fixes all of that at once: it squeezes runs of spaces into one, trims the start and end of every line, and can delete empty lines completely. It shows exactly how many characters were removed.
How to use it
- Paste your messy text into the top box.
- Tick the cleaning options you want.
- Press Clean text.
- Copy the tidy text from the bottom box and check the stats.

Frequently asked questions
Will it remove the spaces between words?
No. It only reduces runs of spaces to a single space, so words stay separated.
Does it change my paragraphs?
Only if you tick Remove blank lines. Otherwise line breaks and paragraphs stay as they are.
Can it handle tabs?
Yes, tabs are treated like spaces when collapsing and trimming.
