Frequently asked questions

Where do Celsius and Fahrenheit meet?

At −40: −40 °C and −40 °F are the same temperature, the only point where the scales cross.

Why does Kelvin have no degree symbol?

Kelvin is an absolute scale starting at absolute zero (0 K), so it is written simply as K, not °K.
