๐Ÿ” Text Diff Checker

Compare two texts line by line: see lines only in A, only in B, and what they share.

About this Text Diff Checker

This diff checker compares two blocks of text line by line and reports exactly where they differ: lines that appear only in the first text, lines only in the second, and how many lines they share. It is ideal for comparing lists, config files, product catalogues, class rosters or two drafts of the same document โ€” without uploading anything.

How to use it

  1. Paste the first version into Text A, one entry per line.
  2. Paste the second version into Text B.
  3. Click Compare texts.
  4. Read which lines are unique to each side and how many are shared.

Example

If A lists apple, banana, cherry and B lists banana, cherry, date, the tool reports 'Only in A: apple', 'Only in B: date' and 2 shared lines.

Frequently asked questions

Does line order matter?

No. The comparison is set-based, so a line counts as shared wherever it appears in each text.

What about duplicate lines and capitals?

Duplicates within one text are counted once, and the comparison is case-sensitive โ€” 'Apple' and 'apple' are different lines.
