โœ… Attendance Calculator

Calculate attendance percentage from total working days, present, absent and leave days.

About this Attendance Calculator

This attendance calculator turns raw day counts into the attendance percentage that schools, offices and factories report: days present divided by total working days, times 100. It also flags when the numbers do not add up โ€” present plus absent plus leave should equal the total โ€” which catches marking mistakes before they reach a report or payslip.

How to use it

  1. Enter the total working days in the period (month, term or year).
  2. Enter the days the person was present.
  3. Enter days absent and days on approved leave.
  4. Click Calculate to see the attendance percentage and a consistency check of the figures.

Example

Out of 26 working days with 22 present, 2 absent and 2 on leave, attendance is 84.6% and the day counts balance exactly.

Frequently asked questions

Do leave days count against attendance?

In the standard percentage, attendance counts only days present, so leave lowers it. Some organisations also show a second figure counting approved leave as attended โ€” check which definition your report needs.

What attendance percentage is considered good?

Most schools and workplaces treat 90% and above as good, 75โ€“90% as acceptable and below 75% as a concern. A student at 84.6% over a year misses roughly a month of days.
