โณ Late Fee Calculator

Calculate a late payment fee โ€” flat, or per day late โ€” and the total now payable.

About this Late Fee Calculator

This late fee calculator works out the extra charge on an overdue payment in the two ways businesses commonly apply it: a flat percentage charged once, or a percentage charged for every day the payment is late. It shows the fee itself and the new total payable, which is exactly what you need for a reminder notice or an updated invoice.

How to use it

  1. Enter the original amount that was due.
  2. Enter the late fee percentage from your agreement or invoice terms.
  3. For a per-day fee, enter how many days the payment is late and keep Per day late selected; for a one-off charge, select Flat.
  4. Click Calculate to see the fee and the total now payable.

Example

An amount of 100,000 with a 2% flat late fee adds 2,000, making 102,000 payable; the same 2% charged per day for 15 days would add 30,000, making 130,000 payable.

Frequently asked questions

Which fee type should I use?

Use whatever your invoice terms or contract state. Flat fees are simple and common for small invoices; per-day fees suit rent, credit and trade accounts where long delays are costly.

Can I charge any late fee I like?

The fee must be in your agreed terms, and some jurisdictions cap what can be charged. State the fee clearly on invoices before the sale, not after a payment is already late.
