About this URL Parser
Long URLs hide their structure — tracking parameters, ports, paths and fragments all blur together. This parser splits any URL into its standard parts and lists every query parameter in a clean table, which is invaluable when debugging links, checking tracking tags, building API requests or documenting endpoints. If you paste a bare domain, it assumes https:// and parses that.
How to use it
- Paste the full URL into the box.
- Click Parse URL.
- Read the parts table: protocol, host, port, path, query and hash.
- Check the separate parameters table to see each key and value decoded.
Example
Parsing 'https://shop.example.com:8080/items?id=42&color=red#reviews' shows host shop.example.com, port 8080, path /items, and a parameter table with id=42 and color=red.
Frequently asked questions
Are the parameter values decoded?
Yes. Values are shown URL-decoded, so 'hello%20world' appears as 'hello world', exactly as your code would receive it.
What if I paste just a domain?
The parser retries with https:// in front, so 'example.com/page' works fine.
