x² Exponent Calculator

Raise any base to any power, with the square and cube of the base shown alongside.

About this Exponent Calculator

This exponent calculator works out a base raised to any power, including fractional and negative exponents. Powers show up everywhere — compound growth, area and volume, computer memory sizes and scientific notation — and the square and cube of your base are shown alongside for quick reference.

How to use it

  1. Enter the base number.
  2. Enter the exponent (it can be negative or a decimal).
  3. Click Calculate power to see the result, plus the square and cube of the base.

Example

2 raised to the power 10 is 1,024 — which is why computers count memory in steps of 1,024.
