๐Ÿ”ฌ Scientific Calculator

Full scientific calculator with trig, logs, powers and roots. Degree and radian modes.

About this Scientific Calculator

A full scientific calculator that goes beyond basic arithmetic: sine, cosine and tangent with degree or radian modes, logarithms (log base 10 and natural ln), square roots, powers, percentages and the constants pi and e. Type an expression or tap the buttons, then press equals for an accurate result.

How to use it

  1. Tap buttons or type an expression into the display.
  2. Keep Degrees ticked for normal angle work, or untick it for radians.
  3. Press = to evaluate the whole expression at once.

Example

In degree mode, sin(30) = 0.5. You can also try 2^10 = 1024 and sqrt(144) = 12.

Frequently asked questions

What does the % button do?

It treats the number before it as a percentage, so 50% becomes 0.5 and 200 + 10% gives 200.1. It is the same behaviour as most phone calculators.

Is log base 10 or base e?

The log button is base 10, which is standard for scientific calculators. Use the ln button for the natural logarithm (base e).

Why did my expression show an error?

Check for balanced brackets and complete functions, for example sin(30) needs its closing bracket. Division by zero also shows an error.
