Frequently asked questions

What is the formula for X% of Y?

Multiply Y by X and divide by 100. For example, 15% of 240 is 240 x 15 / 100 = 36.

How do I find the percentage change?

Subtract the old value from the new value, divide by the old value, then multiply by 100. A positive result is an increase, a negative result is a decrease.

Can I use decimal numbers?

Yes. Both fields accept decimals, so values like 12.5% of 99.99 work fine.
